Our Story
Guard Trace Intelligence began as a collaboration between experts in Cyber Intelligence, Crypto Investigations, Asset Recovery, and Offshore Legal work. With more than 40 years of combined experience, the founding team set out to build a boutique investigative firm capable of handling complex cross-border cases involving cryptocurrency, cybercrime, and hidden assets.
Growth of the Investigations Team
Over the years, Guard Trace Intelligence has strengthened its investigative capabilities by bringing inleaders with federal law enforcement and intelligence backgrounds. This included the appointmentof Roman Garcia as Head of Global Investigations. A licensed private investigatorand former FBI Special Agent with 11 years of service, Roman brought experience in interviewingand interrogation, handling informants, undercover operations, behavioral analysis,counterterrorism, public corruption investigations, and surveillance operations. His arrival alsomarked the opening of our Utah branch in the heart of Silicon Slopes at 1145 S 800 E, Orem, Utah.
Earlier, the Investigations Department expanded under Seth A. Gordon, a former U.S. Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Analyst and Security Specialist with 17 years of service. Gordon’s background—with roles including Inspector, Supervisor, Communications Specialist, and Chairman of the Ethics Committee for the City of Long Beach, NY—helped elevate the analytical and intelligence functions within Guard Trace Intelligence.

As Guard Trace Intelligence expanded, so did its technical and operational footprint. The company now combines advanced OSINT, HUMINT, blockchain forensics, and cyber investigation tools to deliver actionable intelligence for asset recovery cases worldwide.
